CEO's Message
Welcome to Goodland Regional Medical Center and our website. We invite you to look over the information posted here to learn about the services available at GRMC and the talented team of dedicated healthcare professionals who provide them.
Goodland Regional Medical Center is a community owned general acute care hospital. Our mission is threefold:
1. Providing high quality, community based, cost effective primary care
2. Ensuring access to specialized health services
3. Helping patients and families manage the course of illness and treatment
This means GRMC will work to provide the basic healthcare services needed most by the community right here at home, and to do so as cost effectively as possible while achieving high quality in the delivery of care. When patients need specialized services that are not available locally, GRMC has referral relationships with specialty physicians and institutions whose partnership with us maintains our primary goal - high quality, cost effective healthcare for everyone we serve.
We know that dealing with illness or injury and going through the process of diagnosis and treatment is stressful. We also know that our patients and their families face many decisions along the way and have many questions and concerns they worry about. We're here to help with that, too - whether finding answers about insurance coverage, learning about treatment options and providers, or finding a place to stay in another city while a loved one obtains specialized healthcare services. We can help you find your way through the often confusing healthcare system and assist you in finding the information you need to make the choices that are best for you.
Goodland Regional Medical Center has a long and proud tradition of innovation and excellence in healthcare delivery to the citizens of Sherman County and northwest Kansas. The list of accomplishments includes:
 One of the first hospitals in the nation to establish a certified swing bed program
Establishing the premier specialty clinic outreach program in Kansas, currently bringing over 30 physicians in 18 specialties to Goodland each month
Designation as one of the top 20 rural hospitals in America
The Kansas Business Merit Award from the state Department of Commerce
Business and clinical partnerships with high quality healthcare organizations such as St. Anthony Central Hospital, Eagle Med air ambulance service, the Northwest Kansas Area Medical Foundation, and many other fine organizations
Most important, however, is our talented and dedicated staff of highly trained and knowledgeable healthcare providers and support staff - physicians, nurses, therapists, technicians, and aides - who are here for you.
